Hydraulic Elements and Systems PLC is a successor of Factory for Hydraulic Components - Yambol, which was founded in 1968 as an affiliate of the state enterprise Machine-building factory “Hydravlika” - Kazanlak. In 1971 the Factory for Hydraulic Components became an independent factory within the State Economic group DSO “Hydravlika” and few years later, in 1976 it was reorganized into Hydraulic Components Plant to the name of “Ivan Tenev”. In 1991 the factory was transformed into a Joint-stock company, getting its present name: Hydraulic Elements and Systems. Six year later the factory was privatized and nowadays it is a 100% private company with majority shareholder Stara Planina Hold.

In the post-privatization period the Company undergoes fast growth. In the period 1998-2011 the factory was totally reorganized through realization of several investment programs. This was also a period, when the organization implemented a system for an effective management of the business activities as well as a quality management system. As a result, the Company was able to adapt to the dynamically changing market conditions and became a factory with sustainable market positions..
