This single-action cylinder is pressurized only in one direction - pushing. The movement in back direction is realized due to the other external force or just through its own weight. There are options with or without mechanical upper stroke limit stop as well as cushioning in the end of retracting direction. Application: presses, fork-lifts, lifting platforms and so on.

Telescopic cylinders adapt to limited installation possibilities and, at the same time, fulfill the requirement for the longest stroke possible. All stages of the cylinder are pressurized on one side and the cylinder releases its power during extension. Its own weight on the consumer side makes the cylinder retract.

According to pressurization of the piston area, this cylinders may be either a pushing or pulling cylinders. The unpressurized piston side is usually connected to the atmosphere, but it is prevented from dust from penetrating through an air filter. It is possible precisely designed spring to be mounted into this unpressurized side to return the piston in initial position.
